Job Description Role : Lab Technician GBI Role Purpose : To support activities related to field return product analysis using GBI lab machines/equipment as per the procedures and local work instructions with high quality and speed for identify potential root cause through the process of systematic analysis. Experience in years : 1-4 years Industry Type: Industrial or Automotive Education : Diploma in Mechanical/Production or equivalent discipline Certification : • Mandatory: NA • Additional: NA Competencies : • Functional Exposure to customer complaint handling would be an added advantage Basic knowledge of mechanical tools used in machine work shops Basic knowledge of computer operation (Microsoft office packages) Interested in experimental testing and practical work Be able to follow written specifications and work instructions with meticulous monitoring/ recording of data/ measurement result Good communication skills and working knowledge of English & Hindi language Creative enough to think of out of the box solutions to daily issues in the working place Page 1 of 2 Confidentiality: C2 Internal • Managerial /Leadership : NA Key Deliverables : • Performing activities – assembly, disassembly of product samples as per work instructions or as instructed by PIC Engineer • Sample preparation and collection of evidence • Marking & segregation of components for sample identification purpose • Assisting the PIC Engineer to carryout inspection on failure/product analysis • Preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and instruments and updating the documents • Actively participate in root cause analysis of customer complaints along with the PIC engineer • Supporting PIC engineer in Calibration of Instruments • Storage of test samples, mating components and tools and labeling them to identify and maintain their status • Carry out 5S activities(cleanliness) at the working place • Strive towards maintaining Zero Accident status at PIC by meticulously following the local EHS procedures/work instructions • Regular monitoring of consumables and spares and maintain minimum stock level • Innovate and bring new ideas to bring improvement to testing activities and procedures • Ownership of general tools used for assembly and disassembly of test parts and some of the instruments used in the test centre.
