Lab Technician

As a Technician at Fourier, your primary responsibility will be to aid in the setup of our lab space and collaborate with our engineering team on building and testing prototypes. You will play a crucial role in managing lab resources, advising on component selection, ordering and tracking components, and ensuring the delivery and installation of equipment. Your hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical labs or industrial companies will be valuable as you assist engineers in prototype assembly and testing. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing lab resources efficiently - Assisting and advising on component selection from external suppliers - Ordering and tracking components to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment - Maintaining instrumentation and organizing lab space - Aiding engineers in prototype assembly and testing, including construction of test fixtures, electrical wiring for low voltage and high voltage/high current circuits, reworking electronic boards, hydrogen gas processing, water processing, and troubleshooting during bring-up and operation - Assisting in commissioning and operating Fourier equipment at pilot partners/customers Qualifications required for this role: - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Effective communication skills - Capability of handling various tasks and collaborating within a team - Experience in reading and understanding technical documentation such as CAD and P&ID to derive install/assemble instructions - Manual dexterity for assembling small components - Experience with electrical/mechanical assembly - Ability to perform prototype testing per written specifications or verbal instructions - Experience working with piping/tubing, pumps, fittings, sensors, electronics, power supply/potentiostat, and/or electrical wiring - Hands-On attitude with a Can-Do mindset Preferred qualifications include: - Experience in building mechanical and/or electrical lab spaces - Knowledge of deionization water filtration systems - Experience working with hydrogen gas - Ability to perform failure analyses of components In addition to the exciting and impactful work you will be doing at Fourier, we offer: - Fully paid Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage - Competitive salary and equity compensation based on experience - Diverse and inclusive work environment - Paid sick days and vacation,
