Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, your responsibilities will include collecting, receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment. You will be designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings. It is crucial to accurately record all experimental data and test results in the specified format, whether written or electronic. Organizing and storing chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines within the laboratory, maintaining daily logs and equipment record books, and cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment are essential duties. You will also be responsible for ordering laboratory supplies as needed, providing technical support, and staying updated with relevant scientific and technical developments. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field, along with a valid laboratory technician license. Previous experience working as a lab technician is required, as well as familiarity with operating both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment. Comfort with handling potentially dangerous substances and a deep knowledge of QHSE management systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices are necessary. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and database systems, the ability to work autonomously and under pressure, superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination, excellent verbal and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and strong analytical skills are also important for this position. This is a full-time job with a rotational shift schedule, and a Diploma is required for education. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of total work experience in a similar role.,
