Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting extended reality equipment, providing technical support to students and faculty, and ensuring the smooth operation of our lab facilities. Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting Inspect, maintain, and repair extended reality hardware and related equipment regularly. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with VR headsets, AR glasses, motion capture systems, and other hardware. Technical Support and Problem Solving Provide technical assistance to students and faculty working on AR, VR, and MR projects. Collaborate with vendors and external technical support teams for servicing and repairs. Lab Management Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment conducive to learning and research. Manage inventory and keep accurate records of equipment status and usage. Knowledge and Research Stay updated with the latest advancements in AR, VR, and MR hardware and software. Assist in researching and acquiring new technologies to enhance the center's capabilities. Training and Education Support workshops and training sessions on using extended reality equipment. Develop and update instructional materials for equipment usage. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with researchers and students to understand project requirements and provide technical support. Communicate equipment-related concerns to management promptly. Qualifications 12th with certifications related to AR/VR development tools or Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Prior experience in handling and maintaining AR, VR, and MR equipment is preferred. Basic understanding of extended reality hardware and software. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
