Lab Operator / Chemist

Sappy Biofuels Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Lab Operator / Chemist to support our biodiesel production facility in Kanpur. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, ensuring fuel quality, and maintaining safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine laboratory analysis of biodiesel, feedstock, glycerin, and other samples.

• Perform quality checks as per ASTM / EN standards (viscosity, flash point, acid value, water content, etc.).

• Prepare and standardize chemical reagents for testing.

• Maintain laboratory records, test reports, and calibration logs.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols in handling chemicals.

• Support production team with process improvements and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry OR Diploma in Chemical Engineering.

• Experience in analytical chemistry / QC laboratory preferred (chemical, oil, or biodiesel industry).

• Knowledge of lab instruments such as GC, titration, viscometer, flash point apparatus, etc.

• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
