Lab Analyst

Role Overview: As a Chemist focusing on water and wastewater treatment processes, you will play a crucial role in conducting routine and advanced chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples. Your primary responsibility will involve analyzing parameters such as ion analysis, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), and more. Additionally, you will be involved in performing jar tests, optimizing chemical dosages, monitoring biological treatment parameters, ensuring quality control, managing data, and collaborating with plant operators and engineers to enhance treatment efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine and advanced chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples, including parameters such as ion analysis, BOD, COD, TSS, and more. - Perform jar tests to simulate coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation processes, optimizing chemical dosages and pH levels for effective treatment. - Assist in the selection and dosage calculation of coagulants, flocculants, and disinfectants to enhance treatment efficiency. - Monitor and analyze biological treatment parameters, ensuring optimal microbial activity and system performance. - Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and regulatory standards in all laboratory procedures. - Maintain accurate records of test results, prepare reports, and contribute to process performance evaluations. - Work closely with plant operators and engineers to provide analytical support and recommend improvements. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within a water or wastewater treatment plant. - Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation. - Knowledge of water quality standards and regulatory requirements. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.,
