L7 Routing Engineer

Golang Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  high-performance microservices

  using Go.
• Build and optimize components involving

  L7 routing, proxies, HTTP traffic management, and API gateways

  .
• Architect and implement

  RESTful services

  with strong adherence to scalability, security, and reliability practices.
• Develop containerized applications using

  Docker

  , ensuring efficient builds and optimized runtime performance.
• Collaborate with architects to define

  software design patterns

  , best practices, and system architecture.
• Deploy and operate services on cloud platforms (preferably

  Google Cloud Platform

  ).
• Implement and enhance

  CI/CD pipelines

  , automating build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Integrate observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing) to improve system performance and reliability.
  
• Troubleshoot production issues involving routing, service discovery, container infrastructure, and cloud networking.
  
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship of junior engineers.
  

Required Core Skills

• Hands-on experience in

  L7 routing & proxies

  (Envoy, Nginx, HAProxy, Traefik, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of

  HTTP/REST fundamentals

  and

  Microservices Architecture

  .
• Expert-level proficiency in

  Go (Golang)

  with strong understanding of concurrency and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in

  Docker

  , container build optimizations, and containerized deployments.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with

  software design & architecture

  (distributed systems, event-driven systems).
• Cloud platform knowledge

  GCP is a major plus

  .
• Experience with

  CI/CD Automation

  tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Tekton).
• Strong understanding of

  Observability

  — Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, or OpenTelemetry.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes
  
• Exposure to service mesh technologies
  
• API Gateway development or integration experience
  
• Familiarity with modern security best practices (mTLS, JWT, OAuth2)
