L3 Application Support Engineer (Senior)

Primary Skills:

• Over 8 years of experience in L3 production support with deep domain expertise in Investment Management and BFSI
• Skilled in Python, ReactJS, Snowflake, SQL, and JavaScript, with strong proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating data workflows

ITIL Process:

• Effectively coordinate release activities across internal and external teams, ensuring seamless deployment in collaboration with Change Management
• Adept at troubleshooting and resolving complex issues with speed and precision
• Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution using analytical thinking and industry best practices
• Accountable for managing production infrastructure, including OS and security patching
• Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of high-availability environments across all project phases
• Provide L3 production support for enterprise applications built on Python and ReactJS, deployed across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues using DataDog, cloud-native logs, and monitoring tools Investigate and resolve issues related to event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e g , AWS SQS, Kafka, or cloud-native queues)
• Monitor and maintain data pipelines and messaging queues, ensuring timely delivery and processing
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes for recurring production incidents
• Lead incident and problem management, including coordination of major incident bridges and stakeholder communication
• Collaborate with development teams on code-level debugging, hotfix deployment, and optimization of ReactJS front-end and Python back-end services
• Support release management, including CI/CD pipelines, patching, and cloud infrastructure upgrades
• Optimize cloud resource usage, performance tuning of Snowflake queries, and configuration of cloud services
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and shell scripting for monitoring, alerting, and operational tasks
• Monitor batch jobs, application logs, and system alerts across cloud environments
• Manage configuration and access controls across dev, test, and production environments
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 support for critical investment management systems
• Document resolutions, contribute to the knowledge base, and promote best practices across teams
