Job Description

Designation: L2 Infrastructure & Security Support Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3 to 6 Years

Role Overview

L2 Infrastructure & Security Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Networking:
Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN; configure routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and routing.
Monitoring & Observability:
Manage Zabbix dashboards, alerts, and generate SLA/capacity reports.
Security (SecOps):
Monitor endpoint/email security (SentinelOne, Checkpoint), triage SIEM alerts (Wazuh/Log360), manage access provisioning, support ISO 27001/SOC 2 audits, and assist in patch/vulnerability remediation.
Email & Database Support:
Administer Checkpoint Email Gateway; perform basic PostgreSQL tasks (backups, performance checks).
Automation:
Develop scripts (Python/PowerShell/Shell) to streamline repetitive infra/security tasks.
Incident Management:
Handle escalations, perform RCA, and maintain/update knowledge base.
Documentation:
Maintain infrastructure/network diagrams, SOPs, and audit records using Visio/Draw.io.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Support escalations from L1 and work with global IT teams across time zones.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

Privileged Access Management (PAM) administration.
AI/ML-driven monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive security initiatives.

Requirements

3 to 6 years of L2
infrastructure and security support
experience.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills under pressure.
Hands-on with Zabbix, Checkpoint, PostgreSQL, and automation scripting.
Skilled in network documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Curiosity-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in 247 operations.
