Cleaning and Sanitation: Cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment: Maintaining cleanliness of stoves, ovens, refrigerators, grills, and other kitchen equipment is crucial. Sweeping and mopping floors: Keeping the kitchen floor clean and free of debris is important for hygiene. Operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment: This includes operating dishwashing machines and ensuring they are functioning correctly. 2. Waste Disposal: Collecting and removing trash: Removing trash from all areas of the kitchen and back-of-house is a key task. Disposing of waste according to guidelines: Ensuring waste is disposed of properly according to hotel and local authority standards is essential.
