Kitchen Head

You will oversee kitchen operations by managing daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. It is your responsibility to ensure that food quality and consistency meet the establishment's standards and to supervise and lead kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants. You will also be in charge of ensuring food safety and hygiene by guaranteeing compliance with food safety standards and health regulations, monitoring cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, and training staff on proper food handling and hygiene practices. Your role will involve staff management, including hiring, training, and evaluating kitchen staff, creating staff schedules, and managing labor efficiency. In addition, you will oversee inventory and stock control by managing the ordering of food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper storage, preventing waste, and staying within budget. Quality control is another crucial aspect of your job, requiring you to ensure consistent food quality and presentation and address any customer complaints regarding food quality. To excel in this position, you should have proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role, with a culinary degree or certification preferred.
