Key Responsibilities: Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes. Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial statements and reports. Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies aligned with startup goals. Implement and maintain efficient accounting systems and processes suitable for a startup environment. Handle tax filings, regulatory compliance, payroll coordination, and other statutory requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and product to support business initiatives. Manage relationships with external auditors, bankers, and financial advisors. Monitor cash flow, analyze financial data trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making. Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices. Lead or support audits and financial reviews as required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred. 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with startups or high-growth companies. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with cloud-based tools is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote setup with strong attention to detail. Adaptability and comfort working within a fast-evolving startup culture. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finance management.
