Role ProfileJob Title Assistant Designer - KIDSWEAR(BOYS) Department Design Location Gurgaon Reports to Team head Principal Accountabilities Creating or visualizing an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software like Corel draw, adobe Photoshop or adobe illustrator. keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes Developing ranges as per the guidelines Working with others in the design team, and with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, tech, quality, sales, marketing etc., to develop products to meet a brief. liaising closely with buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure that the product line suits the customer, market and price points. understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. patterns, stitching techniques, printing and embroidery and produce technical specifications for designs. having a thorough knowledge of mens and womens garment specifications and technical understanding. sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments adapting existing designs for mass production developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations Oversee product development and ensure timely development of samples. Should be open to travel to various parts of India to work independently with factories and source various raw materials. Profile RequirementEducation Fashion Design Course from NIFT /PEARL Experience 4-5 Years Knowledge and skill set Open to travel Good Communication & Interpersonal and learning Skills Team Player Relationship Building Skills Zeal to Learn and do excel Presentable & Well Groomed SALARY Location GURGAON
