The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst role is an intermediate position that involves contributing to the establishment and implementation of new or updated application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. Your primary responsibility will be to participate in applications systems analysis and programming activities. Your key responsibilities will include conducting tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development. You will be responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. Additionally, you will monitor and control all phases of the development process, provide user and operational support on applications to business users, and ensure that essential procedures are followed. Your role will require utilizing in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems and provide evaluations of business and system processes. You will recommend and develop security measures to ensure successful system design and functionality post-implementation. Furthermore, you will consult with users/clients and other technology groups, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist in customer exposure systems. As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core components of the UI Platform Services. This includes cloud-native microservices, APIs, and user interfaces. You will collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other platform services. Your role will involve building scalable, resilient, and secure systems using modern software development practices. Technical Requirements: - Strong Java Skills: Extensive experience with Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot). - Front-End Expertise: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and related technologies (HTML, CSS). - Cloud-Native Development: Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Microservices Architecture: Understanding of microservices principles and experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. - CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). - Database Technologies: Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. - Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing). - Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Qualifications: - 5-8 years of relevant experience - Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications - Experience in managing and implementing successful projects - Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods - Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed in the Applications Development and Full Stack Java Developer roles.
