Job Description

Title:

About the Role

What You’ll Do

Design and deploy scalable WLAN solutions using
Juniper Mist
(APs, Mist Cloud, Marvis) and
ExtremeCloud IQ / ExtremeWireless
.
Conduct
RF planning
(Ekahau/Acrylic), AP placement, channel/power planning, and validation surveys.
Perform advanced troubleshooting: roaming, sticky clients, RF interference, DHCP/DNS issues, 802.1X, QoS, application performance.
Integrate WLAN with LAN/WAN/security: VLANs, ACLs, L3 routing, DHCP relay, RADIUS/AD/IdP (SAML), NAC/802.1X.
Automate and manage via
APIs/SDKs
(Mist APIs, Extreme APIs) and scripting (Python preferred).
Implement and tune
AI-driven assurance
and analytics (Marvis Actions, SLEs, Extreme analytics).
Create and maintain documentation: HLD/LLD, runbooks, configs, as-builts; handover to operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, Workplace, Vendors) to deliver projects and resolve P1 incidents.

What You’ll Bring

5–8 years
in enterprise WLAN; strong hands-on with
Juniper Mist
and
Extreme Wireless
.
Deep knowledge of
802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax
, RF fundamentals, roaming, MIMO, OFDMA, BSS coloring, WPA2/WPA3.
Experience with
Ekahau
(or equivalent), packet capture tools (Wireshark), and spectrum analyzers.
Strong L2/L3 network knowledge: VLANs, STP, routing (OSPF/BGP basics), DHCP/DNS, RADIUS/TACACS.
Familiarity with
NAC/802.1X
(ClearPass/ISE), certificate-based auth (EAPTLS).

Certifications (Preferred)

Juniper
: JNCISMistAI / JNCIPMistAI (or equivalent Mist AI certs)
Extreme
: ExtremeWireless Specialist/Professional (e.g.,
ECS
/
ECP
)
Ekahau ECSE
; plus general: CCNA/CCNP/PCNSE (nice to have)
