We (ETHICS AVIATION) are a startup in the business-aircraft and helicopter charter sector, aiming to build a robust fleet and connect customers with charter aircraft across India. To support our growth, we are building a research team that will compile and maintain detailed databases about available aircraft, charter providers, and prospective sellers.
We value accuracy, proactivity, and passion for aviation. If you enjoy digging through data, have an interest in aircraft/aviation markets, and want to contribute to a high-potential charter business we want you on our team.
As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality intelligence and data systems for our charter operations. Specifically, you will:
(c.) Continuously monitor public-domain sources (aircraft sale listings, aviation classifieds, regulatory filings, aviation-industry news, trade directories), industry reports, broker websites, advertisements, etc. to keep the database up to date.
(d.) Validate and cross-verify data for accuracy; check registration numbers, aircraft history (if possible), licensing and airworthiness details, ownership/lease status.
(e.) Prepare regular reports and summaries for management: market-maps, trend-analysis, summary of available inventory, potential acquisition leads, and competitive intelligence insights.
(f.) Support due-diligence efforts: gather documentation, historical sale/lease data, ownership records, maintenance records (as publicly available), regulatory compliance info.
(g.) Work collaboratively with the founding team and other stakeholders to help shape business strategy, acquisitions or charter-offering decisions based on research insights.
(h.) Help build contact outreach lists, connect with sellers/brokers/operators, assist in preliminary negotiations — though this is not a sales role per se.
(a.) Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field: Aviation Management / Business / Economics / Commerce / Data Analytics / Engineering / or equivalent.
(b.) Strong analytical skills: ability to gather, collate, verify and organize large volumes of data from disparate sources.
(c.) Meticulous attention to detail and high integrity when handling data (ensuring accuracy, verifying sources, cross-checking).
(d.) Strong internet-research abilities, comfort with public records, regulatory databases, classified ads, trade-directories, aircraft-market data.
(e.) Proficient in data-management tools: MS Excel (or Google Sheets), Word/Docs, ability to build and maintain databases, do basic data cleaning/organization.
(f.) Good communication skills — both written and verbal — to compile clear reports and summaries for stakeholders.
(g.) Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and capable of managing priorities and deadlines.
(h.) (Desirable) Basic familiarity / interest in aviation / aircraft / helicopters / business aviation — understanding of aircraft types, basic specs, regulatory context in India is a plus.
(i.) (Desirable) Familiarity with CRM, data-visualization tools (if available), or willingness to learn.

2.5 LPA.
1.9 LPA until satisfactory performance review.
A half-yearly bonus based on key deliverables: number/quality of new leads found (aircraft/operators), accuracy of data, completeness of database updates, usefulness for decision-making. 10% of base pay depending on performance.
If the person continues for 12 months and delivers good output: increment + bonus.
Learning & exposure to aviation/charter-aircraft business; on-job training; possibility to transition into operations/ acquisition / business-development roles as company grows.
