Job Summary:

Kalarikovilakam, a reputed wellness and healthcare center in Kollengode, Palakkad, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Junior Master Chef 4 to assist in the efficient operation of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Chef in all culinary activities, ensure the preparation of high-quality diet food for patients, and supervise junior staff. This role requires strong culinary knowledge, leadership skills, and a keen eye for quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Prepare diet-specific meals, juices, and water for patients as per individual diet charts.
• Ensure the quality and quantity of food production meets the required standards.
• Review and understand all patient diet charts and instruct junior kitchen staff accordingly.
• Supervise and train lower-level staff on cooking techniques, hygiene, and dietary requirements.
• Monitor and control the quality and quantity of ingredients and food being used and prepared.
• Inspect and ensure the quality of received raw materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef in planning and developing new nutritious dishes.
• Attend all internal meetings and staff training sessions as scheduled.
• Ensure timely and hygienic preparation of all diet meals.
• Step in and prepare food in the staff cafeteria during staff shortages.
• Maintain all necessary kitchen records, including food production, inventory, and hygiene checklists.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

• Minimum: Certificate in Cookery Course (from a recognized institute)

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with experience in dietary or health-based food preparation.

Specialized Training:

• Required: Knowledge of various types of food, especially therapeutic and diet-specific cuisines.

Skills Required:

• Strong cooking skills with a deep understanding of nutrition and dietary needs.
• Ability to effectively teach and guide junior kitchen staff.
• Proficient in knife handling and food preparation techniques.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail, particularly in quality control and hygiene.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
