Junior Designer

As a Fashion Designer in our company, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Trend Research & Concept Development: You will be responsible for analyzing current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to develop innovative design concepts. - Sketching & Prototyping: Your tasks will include creating detailed sketches, technical drawings, and specifications for new designs. This may involve collaborating with pattern makers and sample rooms to develop prototypes. - Material Selection: You will play a crucial role in selecting appropriate leathers, hardware, linings, and other components, considering factors such as quality, durability, cost, and aesthetic appeal. - Collaboration: Working closely with product development, merchandising, production, and sales teams to ensure that designs are feasible and align with the brand's vision and market needs. The qualifications and skills required for this role typically include: - Strong portfolio showcasing creative design abilities and technical proficiency in leather goods. - Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD programs, etc. - In-depth knowledge of various leather types, textiles, materials, and hardware. - Understanding of manufacturing techniques, pattern making, and construction of leather goods. - Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - A degree in Fashion Design or a related field is often preferred.
