About the Role

The Junior MongoDB DBA will assist in managing MongoDB environments, including monitoring, basic administration, and scripting, while gaining exposure to large-scale distributed

database systems.

Key Responsibilities

Support MongoDB instances in development, staging, and production environments.
Perform daily health checks, log monitoring, and backup verifications.
Assist with index management, basic query tuning, and schema updates.
Write shell scripts to automate standard maintenance tasks.
Document operational procedures and maintain updated runbooks.
Participate in incident response under senior supervision.
Continuously learn MongoDB best practices and new features.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3-4 years of experience in MongoDB administration or support.
Basic knowledge of sharding, replication, and schema design.
Proficiency in shell scripting and basic programming knowledge.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and command line tools.
Eagerness to learn, good attention to detail, and disciplined documentation habits.
