Junior Cardiology Technician (Female)

Role & responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency Electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) as per physicians instructions.
• Ensure correct electrode placement and proper machine functioning.
• Conduct treadmill/Stress tests, Holter monitoring, and other cardiac diagnostic procedures if required.
• Prepare patients by explaining the procedure to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during ECG procedures.
• Monitor patients during stress tests and immediately report any abnormal findings.
• Operate ECG machines and related diagnostic equipment efficiently.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain ECG machines as per biomedical protocols.
• Report breakdowns or malfunctioning of equipment to the biomedical/engineering department.
• Record, label, and maintain accurate ECG test results in HIS.
• Ensure timely delivery of ECG reports to concerned doctors/departments.
• Maintain proper documentation as per NABH standards.
• Assist doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff in diagnostic and emergency situations.
• Coordinate with cardiology and emergency teams for urgent ECG requirements.
• Participate in training, quality audits, and continuous learning programs.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/Certificate in ECG Technology / Cardiac Care Technology.
• Minimum 1 year required in NABH/JCI accredited hospitals.
• Good knowledge of ECG procedures, cardiac monitoring, and equipment handling.
  Ability to recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms and escalate to physician/nurse immediately.Basic computer literacy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for patient handling.
• Empathy, patience, and attention to detail.
