Position Overview

Junior Android Developer

Immediate joiners are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for mobile, TV, and STB platforms.
• Work with media playback components like ExoPlayer/Media3.
• Integrate APIs, video players, CDN SDKs, and DRM modules (as needed).
• Collaborate with product and backend teams for feature development.
• Debug and optimize application performance across multiple Android devices.
• Work on CI/CD processes and support QA/testing.
• Stay updated with the latest Android TV and OTT ecosystem trends.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of Android development experience.

• Strong knowledge of

  Java, Kotlin, Android SDK

  , and

  Jetpack

  components.
• Good understanding of

  Media3/ExoPlayer

  and streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH).
• Experience with

  Retrofit, WebSocket, OTT APIs

  , and REST integrations.
• Familiarity with

  MVVM/MVP

  , Clean Architecture, and dependency injection (Hilt preferred).
• Knowledge of Android TV frameworks, AOSP, or custom launchers is an added advantage.
• Experience working with multicast streams will be a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to OTT, IPTV, or media streaming apps.
• Experience working on Android TV, Fire TV, or STB applications.
• Understanding of DRM technologies such as Widevine.

Education

• B.Tech / B.E. / MCA in Computer Science or relevant field.
