Job Description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Kochi

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant with 3 - 4 years of experience in accounting, specifically in the real estate or builder industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing day-to-day accounts, vendor payments, reconciliations, and project-related financial entries.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledgers for multiple real estate projects.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, client receipts, and bank entries.
Prepare and maintain project-wise expense reports and statements.
Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and vendor accounts periodically.
Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Coordinate with auditors and internal teams for financial audits.
Manage petty cash and ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed.
Prepare MIS reports and assist in budget tracking for ongoing projects.
Collaborate with the project and sales teams for collection updates and cost allocation.

Requirements:

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 3 - 4 years of accounting experience with builders or real estate firms (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting principles.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience handling project-based accounting.
Exposure to RERA accounting or real estate cost management.
Ability to prepare financial summaries and assist management in reporting.
