Junior Accountant in Pune

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile all company bank accounts monthly and record pending transactions in Zoho Books.
• Prepare detailed financial reports required for statutory audits.
• Implement and monitor accounting practices in line with applicable laws and regulations.
• Review TDS-applicable transactions and ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act, 1961.
• Remit TDS within stipulated timelines to avoid penalties and interest; file quarterly 6. TDS returns and issue Form 16A quarterly and Form 16 annually.
• Review revenue recognition and GST entries to ensure accurate treatment under the GST Act, 2017.
• Advise on GST applicability for various transactions, including reverse-charge, forward charge, exports, and input reversals.
• Keep the organization updated on changes in tax laws and other relevant legal developments.
• Verify professional tax and provident fund calculations and ensure timely payments.
• File PT and PF returns within statutory deadlines to maintain compliance.
