Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a research project funded by #ANRF #SERB under the supervision of Dr Vinay Bankey at 📍 the Department of ECE, NIT Rourkela.

🎯Title of the Project: Design and Development of Intelligent Physical Layer Security Techniques for Non-Terrestrial Network-based Communications

📅Duration:

Initially for 1 year (extendible up to 3 years also can be converted into PhD.

✅Essential Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

👈M.Tech/M.E./M.S. (with GATE qualification) in Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science and Engineering, or similar, with specialization in Electronics, Communication, Signal Processing, or related fields. Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA in both B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech.

👈B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or similar, with minimum 65% marks or 7.0/10 CGPA and a valid GATE score.

👈M.Sc. (with GATE/NET/GPAT) in Electronics or similar, with 65% marks or 7.0/10 CGPA.

✅Who should apply?

Candidates with a background in:

👈Passion for telecommunications security, particularly in 5G/6G, wireless networks, software-defined networks (SDNs), non-terrestrial networks (NTN), and satellite communications.

👈Knowledge of Digital Communications, Wireless Networks, and/or related areas.

👈Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, including classification, regression, clustering, reinforcement learning (RL), and deep learning (DL).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.

👈Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, Python, and scripting languages.
