Junior Video Editor

You will be responsible for transforming raw podcast recordings into dynamic, high-energy, and engaging short-form content that captivates audiences on YouTube and Instagram. The ideal candidate understands the psychology of social media viewers and knows how to craft content that is not only visually appealing but also adds value, all while preserving the integrity and elegance of the Chandana Dixit brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Short-Form Content Mastery

  : Your primary focus will be on creating exceptional

  YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels

  . You will mine raw podcast footage to find the most impactful moments and edit them into viral-worthy clips.

• Storytelling & Editing

  : Cut, merge, and structure clips to tell a compelling micro-story that is engaging from the very first second.

• Platform Optimization

  : Expertly adapt and format content for different platforms, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of what works best for vertical video (Reels/Shorts) versus other formats.

• Enhance Visuals

  : Perform essential editing tasks, including adding dynamic captions/subtitles, basic color correction, audio cleanup, and incorporating simple graphics to increase engagement.

• Collaboration

  : Work closely with and learn from our Senior Video Editor to assist with longer-form podcast edits and ensure brand consistency across all video content.

• Stay on Trend

  : Keep a constant pulse on the latest editing styles, trends, and audio tracks on social media and apply them creatively to our content.

Requirements

• 0-1 year of experience

  in video editing. We strongly encourage freshers with a killer portfolio to apply.

• A strong portfolio or showreel is mandatory

  . It must prominently feature your best work, especially

  , or similar short-form social media videos. Show us your personal projects, freelance workanything that showcases your skill!
• Proficiency in

  Adobe Premiere Pro

  is required.
• A deep, practical understanding of the YouTube and Instagram ecosystems, including optimal video lengths, formats, and engagement tactics.
• A natural storyteller's instinct with a strong sense of pacing, timing, and rhythm.
• Eagerness to learn, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment.

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects for text animations or simple motion graphics.
• Experience with color grading and advanced audio mixing.
• A personal passion for podcasts, interviews, music, or creative arts.
• Familiarity with creating engaging thumbnails for YouTube.
