Jr. Direct Tax Associate

Role Overview: As a part of the Finance & Taxation team at our client's company, your role will be crucial in ensuring smooth tax operations for the Company and its group entities. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with income tax and TDS compliance, supporting international tax matters, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and filing of income tax returns for the Company and its group entities. - Maintain and update the direct tax compliance calendar. - Collate data for tax audits, assessments, and litigation support. - Coordinate with internal teams to gather data required for tax filings. - Support international tax matters like withholding tax implications, TRC applications, and basic treaty benefits. - Prepare advance tax computations, deferred tax workings, and reconciliations. - Maintain documentation for tax positions, notices, and correspondence with tax authorities. - Liaise with external tax consultants as required. Qualifications & Skills: - Qualified Chartered Accountant. - 2-4 years of experience in direct tax compliance and reporting (corporate exposure preferred). - Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, and basic international taxation concepts. - Proficiency in MS Excel and tax compliance tools/software. - Good analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong communication and coordination skills for effective stakeholder management.,
