A journalist's job involves researching, investigating, and reporting on news for various media platforms. Key responsibilities include conducting interviews, writing and editing articles, verifying facts for accuracy, and adhering to journalistic ethics. Journalists must also stay up-to-date on current events, collaborate with editors, and meet deadlines. Responsibilities

• Research and investigation: Uncover and research newsworthy topics, facts, and story leads.
• Reporting and writing: Write clear, concise, and compelling news stories, articles, and features for print, digital, or broadcast media.
• Interviews: Find and interview sources, witnesses, and key individuals to gather information and perspectives.
• Fact-checking and verification: Ensure all information, facts, and data are accurate and reliable before publication.
• Editing: Review and edit copy to ensure it meets high journalistic standards, is free of errors, and adheres to ethical guidelines.
• Collaboration: Work with editors, photographers, designers, and other journalists to produce content.
• Event coverage: Attend press conferences, events, and other assignments to gather first-hand information.
• Deadline management: Meet all assigned and recurring deadlines for story submission.
• Ethics and standards: Uphold professional journalistic ethics and codes of conduct.
• Multimedia skills: May include taking photos, recording video, or creating other multimedia content to supplement stories.

Requirements

• Education: Typically a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in fact-checking and verifying information.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong news judgment and an eye for detail.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Networking and interviewing skills.
• Experience: Experience in writing and editing news stories is often required.
• Portfolio: A portfolio of published work is often preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
