We're seeking a highly innovative and passionate Automation Engineer with a strong specialization in IoT solutions to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing advanced automation and IoT systems that will propel our manufacturing processes into the next era of industrial evolution. You'll be a key player in building a Smart Factory, enhancing product quality, and exploring the frontiers of automation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise in Robotics/IoT, creative problem solving skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies. Design and Implement Advanced Monitoring Systems : Development of high-speed monitoring systems utilizing sophisticated Vision Systems and image processing techniques to ensure real-time quality control and process optimization, aligning with Industry 4.0 standards. Develop End-to-End IoT Solutions : Design and implement end-to-end IoT solutions, encompassing hardware, software, and seamless cloud integration. Should have experience in IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT based on project requirements. Develop robust system architecture for scalability, security, and reliability of all IoT deployments. Collaborate closely with external &internal engineers and stakeholders to successfully implement diverse IoT projects. Ensure strict compliance with data privacy and security standards across all IoT data streams. IoT Device and Firmware Development: Develop efficient firmware for IoT devices or co ordinating with external vendors for firmware development including microcontrollers, sensors, and gateways. Optimize device performance and power consumption for long-term, reliable operation. Debug and troubleshoot complex IoT systems to ensure continuous functionality. Ensure compliance with industry standards (FCC, CE) for all IoT hardware. IoT Backend Services and Data Analytics : Write robust backend services for data processing and analytics from IoT devices. Implement various communication protocols including MQTT, Web Sockets, and REST APIs. Develop efficient data pipelines for IoT sensor data, in adhering to the various IPQA parameters involved in the manufacturing process. And integration of machinery in production floor. Implement real-time analytics and machine learning models to derive actionable insights from IoT data. Robotics Integration and Application: Contribute to the integration and programming of diverse Robotics systems for various manufacturing tasks, demonstrating a passion for applying robotics to achieve higher levels of automation, potentially moving towards Dark Factory capabilities. Creative Automation Problem Solving: Proactively identify automation opportunities and creatively develop innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Stay Current : Keep abreast of the latest advancements in automation, Robotics/IoT, Vision Systems, and manufacturing paradigms like Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. Required Experience and Skills : 3+ years of experience in designing image processing-based high-speed monitoring systems, with a strong focus on Vision System integration, camera selection, illumination techniques, algorithm development, and data analysis. Proven experience in designing and implementing end-to-end IoT solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud integration (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT). Strong coding and logic skills with proficiency in programming languages commonly used in industrial automation and backend development (e.g., Python, PLC programming - Siemens, Rockwell, etc.). Experience writing backend services for data processing and analytics and implementing communication protocols (MQTT, Web Sockets, REST APIs). Familiarity with designing and prototyping IoT hardware (PCBs, sensors, edge devices) and selecting components. Demonstrated passion for Robotics, including experience with robotic arm programming, vision-guided robotics, and collaborative robots, with an eye towards advanced automation concepts like the Dark Factory. Proven automation problem-solving creativity with a track record of developing innovative and effective solutions to complex technical challenges, particularly within an Industry 4.0 framework.
