Key Responsibilities: 1 Switchyard Operation & Monitoring: Perform routine monitoring of all switchyard equipment (Transformers, Circuit Breakers, CTs, PTs, Isolators, Reactors, Busbars, etc.). Execute switching operations for energization/de-energization of transmission lines, transformers, and other equipment as per the Load Dispatch Center (LDC) schedule. Maintain proper switching sequence & safety procedures during emergency restoration. 3 SCADA & Substation Automation: Monitor real-time power flow, alarms, and event logs using SCADA/HMI systems. Perform remote/local operation of switchgear, isolators, and circuit breakers . Troubleshoot SCADA communication issues and coordinate with the automation team . 4 Permit to Work (PTW) & Safety Compliance: Issue and verify Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures for maintenance activities. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, grounding procedures, and electrical isolation procedures . Conduct safety checks before and after maintenance work on equipment. 5 Reporting & Documentation: Maintain shift logs, event reports, switching operation records, and relay tripping reports . Record voltage, current, frequency, and load conditions in daily shift reports. Generate reports on load flow, transformer loading, reactive power compensation, and outage analysis .
