Role & responsibilities Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including inbound receipt, storage, order processing, dispatch, and returns. Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the warehouse as per food-grade warehousing norms. Implement and maintain Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) including 5S, pest control, and routine cleaning schedules. Enforce FIFO/FEFO practices for stock movement and shelf-life management. Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and periodic stock reconciliation. Ensure the warehouse remains audit-ready at all times, adhering to food safety and documentation standards. Coordinate directly with customers for dispatch schedules, priority shipments, issue resolution, and service updates. Act as the front-end representative of warehouse operations in all customer interactions. Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying operational gaps and driving process improvements. Monitor space utilization and optimize layout for efficient storage and picking. Conduct regular training and ensure high levels of productivity, discipline, and engagement among the team. Oversee the maintenance and safe use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Prepare and review daily MIS, KPIs, stock ageing, and exception reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA, logistics, procurement, and customer service for seamless operations . Preferred candidate profile Graduate or Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations; MBA preferred. 8-12 years of experience in managing food/FMCG warehouses. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and warehouse hygiene protocols. Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems. Proven ability to handle customer coordination and service escalations. Strong leadership with efficient team handling capabilities. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Good analytical, organizational,and communication abilities.
