JOB REQUIREMENTS

Key work areas

Responsibilities

1.

Engineering leadership

Constant monitoring of work currently being executed by engineering team for ongoing projects.

Conduct technical reviews including PDR, CDR with end customer.

Identify risk, prepare mitigation plan, Design outsourcing decision & ensure proper selection of vendors purely on the basis of technical capabilities.

Resolve technical challenges related material, processes, integration and performance.

2.

Strategic planning, Innovation & New Product Development

Liaise with BD & Marketing team for responding new EOI’s/RFI’s/RFP’s.

Develop strategies for new product development & product innovation.

3.

Cross functional collaboration

Co-ordinate with Engineering, Project management, SCM, QA & Production teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.

4.

Engineering MIS

Update Management & project Managers on progress of all the activities periodically.

5.

Achieve 100% FTR and OTD

Ensure 100% first time right and On time delivery of internally design/developed and vendor design /developed products

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

1. Core Engineering Knowledge

2. System Architecture Development & Requirement finalization.

3. Systems Engineering

4. Product development expertise (experience in complex multi-disciplinary electro-mechanical systems.)

5. Technical documentation

6. Should be familiar with Environment Stress Screening of Electronics Equipment, EMI EMC MIL STD 461, JSS55555 and other related MIL standards & Test Methods

7. Experience in Managing minimum team size of 10-15 design designers

8. Expertise in evaluating vendors

DESIRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualification

B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics)

Required Certifications

Minimum years of exp.

15-20 years

Industry preference

Experience in Defence Industry is Desirable.
