Detailed Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize large-scale data pipelines leveraging GCP services, primarily Google BigQuery and Dataflow.
• Design and implement robust data models and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Write efficient, high-quality code using programming languages such as Python or Java to automate data workflows.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, applying strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Document technical designs, processes, and best practices for ongoing knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members as needed.
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in cloud data engineering and GCP services.

Skill Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages, specifically Python or Java.
• Extensive practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, with a strong emphasis on:
• Google Big Query (MUST HAVE)
• Dataflow (MUST HAVE)
• Google Cloud Platform ecosystem (DESIRED)
• Google Cloud Storage (DESIRED)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Other Requirements (Optional)

• GCP certification (e.g., Professional Data Engineer) is highly desirable.
• Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
