Infor to Workday Data Conversion Architect

Position Title: Data Conversion Architect Infor to Workday

Experience Required: 12–15 Years (8–10 Years in Workday)

Location: [Hyderabad]

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly seasoned Infor to Workday Data Conversion Architect to lead the strategy, design, and execution of large-scale data migration programs. The architect will be responsible for defining the end-to-end conversion architecture, overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from Infor HCM / Lawson / Financials systems into Workday, and ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and readiness for global deployments.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in Workday data conversion tools (EIB, CCB, PECI, BIRT, BPs), strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM, Payroll, and Finance modules, and extensive experience architecting and leading enterprise Workday implementations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Conversion Strategy & Architecture

  • Define the overall data conversion strategy, roadmap, and methodology for Infor to Workday migration.
  • Architect scalable, repeatable, and automated data conversion solutions.
  • Establish data governance, quality frameworks, and conversion best practices.
  • Lead the development of end-to-end ETL architecture across legacy Infor systems and Workday.

2. Legacy System Analysis — Infor

  • Provide deep expertise in Infor HCM, Infor Lawson, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance data models.
  • Assess Infor data readiness, identify data quality issues, and define remediation steps.
  • Work with functional SMEs to understand business rules, dependencies, and transformation logic.

3. Workday Data Conversion Leadership

  • Lead all Workday EIB, Core Connector, Cloud Connect, and data loading activities.
  • Oversee data transformation logic and mapping between Infor and Workday objects.
  • Direct the configuration of Workday data templates for multiple rounds of conversion.
  • Ensure correctness of test loads, mock conversions, parallel runs, and cutover execution.

4. Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Lead a team of data analysts, developers, and Workday conversion specialists.
  • Conduct data design workshops, mapping sessions, and cross-functional architecture reviews.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for data migration in the Workday program.
  • Coordinate closely with Workday implementation partners to align architecture and timelines.

5. Quality Assurance & Reconciliation

  • Oversee end-to-end validation and reconciliation processes between Infor and Workday.
  • Establish data audit controls, exception reporting, and automated reconciliation scripts.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and audit requirements.

6. Stakeholder & Program Collaboration

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Technical teams, Security, and executive leadership.
  • Provide clear communication on conversion progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Work closely with PMO to drive conversion timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Requirements

  • 12–15 years of overall experience in enterprise applications.
  • 8–10 years of strong Workday experience focusing on data conversion, integration, and deployment.
  • Deep expertise in Workday HCM, including knowledge of:
    • EIB, Core Connector, PECI, BIRT Reports
    • Workday data models (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Finance)
    • Business Processes & Security
  • Strong experience with Infor (Lawson/HCM/Finance) data structures, extraction, and analysis.
  • Proven ability to architect and deliver data conversion in large, multi-country implementations.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL, ETL logic, and data transformation skills.
  • Experience using Workday Studio (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Expertise in Excel, CSV manipulations, macros, VLOOKUPs, Power Query.
  • Experience building automated reconciliation and validation frameworks.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Prior experience leading large conversion teams (onshore/offshore).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle fast-paced program environments and tight timelines.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
