Position Overview:

creative and detail-oriented Jewellery Designer

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creativity

• Research domestic and international jewellery design trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
• Create original, trend-forward, and commercially viable design concepts for gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery.
• Develop hand sketches, 2D/3D CAD drawings, and renderings of proposed designs.

Prototyping & Development

• Collaborate with CAD designers, artisans, and model makers to convert concepts into prototypes.
• Ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with production capabilities.
• Modify and refine designs based on feedback from merchandising and production teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with merchandising, marketing, and production teams to ensure timely product launches.
• Provide design inputs for storytelling, catalogues, and promotional campaigns.
• Support sourcing teams with design-specific requirements for stones, findings, and materials.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain design libraries, mood boards, and style guides.
• Prepare design presentations and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for approvals.
• Track design progress and assist in product reviews.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong creativity and artistic sense with a flair for modern and traditional jewellery design.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Rhino, Matrix, Jewel CAD, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Good knowledge of gemstones, diamonds (4Cs), and precious metals.
• Understanding of jewellery manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Strong visualization, sketching, and rendering skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
