Description
Principal responsibilities Work with the leadership of the Business, Product Ownership, Architecture andEngineering, helping them define their technology vision, strategy and solutions. Ensure the architecture governance practices are followed and designs are correctly aligned and supportive of the clients strategies (Tech, Data, Cloud, Security,etc.). Create and own architecture deliverables as part of the project architecture team,including both solution and enterprise architecture artefacts. Take a leading role in the development and implementation of the Future StateArchitecture of the product. Liaise with many geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders to build knowledgeand coordinate solution design. Produce both written and verbal knowledge transfer documentation in preparation fortransitioning solutions to BAU ownership by the client. Develop an understanding of the business and organisational context of the clientengagement and use this knowledge to suggest optimisations and reduce risks. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: A strong technical and solution architecture background, capable of having technicaldiscussions with engineering teams. Experience working with Enterprise Architecture. A track record of owning and delivering solutions across a broad spectrum of the projectdelivery lifecycle involving mixed-shore resources. The ability to communicate efficiently upwards (to business), downwards (to IT teams)and laterally (to peers, vendors, and client-side staff). Familiarity with technology concepts, roles, and terminology, and the ability to workclosely with application architects and modellers. Familiarity with API design and an awareness of micro-service architectures. The ability to serve as an active participant in architecture groups and forumscommunicating solution strategy and design in conversation, documentation andpresentations.In addition to the above, the following background experience would be highly beneficial: Consultancy/customer-facing experiences within a software vendor or enterprise-scaleservices environment. Financial Services domain knowledge with practical experience in mobilizing technologyto meet the market dynamics affecting the financial services domain (Risk / Cost /Customer). A track record of successful refactoring / tech-debt remediation projects. Proficiency in interrogating codebases to ascertain behaviour, particularly with Java andSpring Boot.High Level Holistic Capabilities sought: Experience in digital and broader architectural transformation, applying solutions fromexperience in decomposing monolithic solutions and methods to manage technical debt. Experience working with enterprise architectures, and translating those into solutionarchitectures. Ability to understand, articulate and translate customer journeys into technical design,leveraging API and micro-service architecture techniques. Experience, knowledge and understanding of enterprise-level software development andAPI based integration e.g. Spring, Kong Participate in technical design and oversee all technology-related issues of cloud-nativeproduct development, building a micro-services-based architecture, promoting API reuseand managing technical debt across the enterprise.
