Java Principal Engineer/Specialist with a Large Product MNC in Hyd.

Role & responsibilities

Java:

Proficient in Java programming language, with experience in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Java frameworks (Spring boot)

Web technologies:

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (e.g., React).

• Databases:

Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

• Cloud platforms:

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

• Testing and deployment:

Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Agile development:

Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.

• Communication and leadership:

Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and capacity to mentor and guide junior engineers.

Position Summary

SME within own functional/business unit. Lead contributor on multi-dimensional projects with significant and unique components. May lead functional teams and projects with complex resource requirements, risks and challenges. Works independently with guidance only in complex situations. Impacts the achievements of customer, operational, project or service objectives across work teams. Develops new concepts, methods, and techniques for cross functional initiatives. Significant impact on functional/business unit. Drive timely/quality delivery against business goals, while evangelizing and improving engineering excellence. Requires highly specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within own function/specialty and practical knowledge of other related areas. Leads cross-functional project teams.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Programming and design experience with proven track record of delivering products in production.

• Ability to lead design for complex project.

• Ability to technically document software deliverables through use cases, design documents, and technical specifications

• Proficient with test-driven development and web template technologies

• Experience utilizing Agile and Scrum software development methodologies

• Ability to document, track and monitor a problem/issue to a timely resolution

• Ability to design components for scale, performance, and experience

• Knowledge of operating systems

• Collaborative problem-solving ability and self-motivated

• Action-oriented and results-focused

• Strong influencing skills; strong verbal and written communication skills along with prioritization of duties
