Description
The Applications Development Programmer Analyst position involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your role will contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Utilizing your knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge of other technical areas, you will identify and define necessary system enhancements. As a strong individual contributor, you will deliver key projects and handle tasks such as picking and restacking key flows into Service on ECS. Additionally, you will review and implement improvements in team technical debt and coding, participate in tech redesign discussions, propose enhancements, work on UI changes in Angular, and contribute to team concerns as a team member. Your responsibilities will include conducting tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establishing new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas. You will monitor and control all phases of the development process, provide user and operational support on applications to business users, and recommend security measures in post-implementation analysis for successful system design and functionality. As an Applications Development Programmer Analyst, you will consult with users/clients and technology groups, recommend advanced programming solutions, install and assist customer exposure systems, and ensure essential procedures are followed while defining operating standards and processes. You will also serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, operate with a limited level of direct supervision, demonstrate independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or team members. Your role will involve appropriately assessing risk in business decisions, identifying and analyzing issues, making recommendations, implementing solutions, and utilizing knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues. You will develop a working knowledge of Citis information systems, procedures, standards, and various applications, while consistently demonstrating clear and concise written and verbal communication. Qualifications: - 04 - 08 years of relevant experience - Good knowledge of Core Java with more than 3 years of experience - Understanding of Microservices architecture and Spring Boot/Cloud - Working experience with UI Framework in Angular or React - Some understanding of Containerization, preferably Openshift - Good knowledge of Oracle and SQL query with more than 2 years of experience - Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications - Experience in managing and implementing successful projects - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and handle unexpected changes - Working knowledge of program languages and industry practices and standards - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience If you are a person with a disability and require accommodation to use our search tools or apply for a career opportunity, review Accessibility at Citi.
