About the Role:

Java API Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable APIs using Java and Spring Framework.
• Collaborate with Architects and Business Analysts to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Provide consultancy and support to application teams for timely resolution of queries/requests.
• Ensure technical designs and code structures are coherent, future-proof, and compliant with technology standards and regulatory obligations.
• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Framework, Microservices.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design, RAML, OAS 3 specification.
• Experience with API Management platforms (e.g., Mule Gateway, Zookeeper, Kong).
• Strong knowledge of JSON data modeling.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven).
• Experience in Unit Testing, Data Mocking, and Automation Testing.
• Excellent communication, analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Source code scanning and security tools (e.g., Checkmarx).
• Performance tuning experience.
• JWT and SAML-based token authentication knowledge.
• Cloud experience (Docker, Kubernetes, PCF, GCP, AWS, Ali Cloud).
• Spring Reactive development.
• NoSQL database experience (e.g., MongoDB).
• Experience with ESB tools (IIB, Mule, MQ, SpringBoot).
• Enthusiasm for exploring new technologies, particularly in Integration domains.
• Strong team player capable of working under minimal supervision.
