Job Description

As a Vice President Technical Manager for Onboarding and Regulatory platform at Morgan Stanley, you will be part of the Technology Division, working closely with business units and leading technology companies to redefine business operations in the financial markets. Your role will involve building and operating the technology platform for critical business processes, including Settlements, Regulatory Reporting, Client Reference Data, and more. ### Role Overview: In this position, you will be responsible for the following key aspects: - Being a technologist with expertise in distributed development tools and tech-stack, focusing on Java, Java-based web development, angular, databases, and enterprise integration patterns. - Owning the development on a new platform following established best practices, focusing on Usability, Cloud Adoption, and User Experience. - Engaging with a global user base to design effective user interfaces for the onboarding and regulatory platform. - Involvement in all aspects of software development, from requirement analysis to continuous improvement of agile development practices. ### Key Responsibilities: - Strong Senior Technologist with 12+ years of experience in Java and Java-based technology stack. - Expertise in web service development, REST, Services Oriented Architecture, Object-Oriented Design, Design patterns, and Application Integration. - Proficiency in Databases, SQL, and frameworks like spring, Junit, BDD. - Experience with Unix/Linux, coordinating with multiple groups, and a background in problem-solving. - Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work on them to meet business requirements. ### Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of career experience in technology - Strong experience in Java and related technologies - Proficiency in web service development, REST, Services Oriented Architecture - Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Design patterns, and Application Integration - Working knowledge of Databases, SQL, and frameworks like spring, Junit, BDD - Experience with Unix/Linux and ability to coordinate with multiple groups - Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies At Morgan Stanley, you can expect a supportive and inclusive environment where you will have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals, supported and empowered to excel.
