Java Backend Technical Lead

Role Overview: As a Lead Java backend Developer at Capco, you will be responsible for technically leading projects through all stages of the project life cycle. This includes understanding requirements, estimating, designing, developing, and conducting acceptance testing. You will work closely with the Architect and Product Manager-Technical to develop low-level designs, create proof of concepts for new ideas, and ensure overall code quality by conducting code reviews. Additionally, you will coach and mentor less experienced team members, write and review design documentation, and perform SCM operations such as branching, merging, tagging, and conflict resolution. Your role will also involve studying upcoming technologies to enhance existing solutions and complying with organizational processes while participating in process improvement and knowledge sharing initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Technically lead project through all stages of the project life cycle - Work closely with Architect & Product Manager-Technical for low level design - Develop critical components and create proof of concepts - Conduct code reviews and ensure overall code quality - Coach and mentor less experienced team members - Write and review Design Documentation as needed - Perform SCM Operations (branching, merging, tagging, conflict resolution) - Study upcoming technologies for improving existing solution - Comply with organizational processes and protect intellectual property - Participate in organization level process improvement and knowledge sharing Qualifications Required: - Experience leading at least one scrum team - Expertise in core Java, Spring Boot, Spring (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security), SQL, RDBMS (Oracle and PostGRES), Web-services (JSON and SOAP), Kafka, Zookeeper - Experience in developing microservice applications and deploying them on public clouds like Google, AWS, Azure - Familiarity with tools such as Intellij/Eclipse/My Eclipse IDE, UML tools (MS Visio, PlantUML), Junit, Maven/Ant/Gradle, GIT - Proficiency in Agile methodologies - Strong logical and analytical skills, design skills, and clear communication in English - Knowledge of Design Patterns and Security concepts - Desirable capabilities include working with tools like Mockito, JBehave, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Rally,
