Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Essay Editing Services

  • Provide comprehensive editing across

    3 rounds of revisions

    for each student&aposs application essays
  • Conduct

    brainstorming sessions

    to help students identify compelling themes and essay strategies
  • Guide students through the complete essay development process from ideation to final submission
  • Edit personal statements, supplemental essays, and other written application components
  • Ensure essays showcase the student&aposs unique voice, experiences, and potential

Quality Assurance

  • Maintain the highest standards of writing quality, grammar, structure, and clarity
  • Ensure essays align with specific university requirements and prompts
  • Help students articulate their stories in compelling, authentic ways
  • Provide constructive feedback that preserves the student&aposs authentic voice

Student Collaboration

  • Work closely with students to understand their backgrounds, goals, and unique qualities
  • Provide mentorship and guidance throughout the application process
  • Communicate effectively with students and families about progress and expectations
  • Meet established deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Required Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience

    editing college application essays
  • Demonstrated success

    with undergraduate students gaining admission to Ivy League universities (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell)
  • Portfolio of successful essay edits with verifiable admission outcomes
  • Experience with various essay types: Common Application, Coalition Application, and university-specific supplements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor&aposs degree from a top-tier university
  • Advanced degree in English, Literature, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Strong academic background with demonstrated writing excellence

Professional Skills

  • Exceptional command of English grammar, syntax, and style
  • Deep understanding of US college admissions processes and what admissions committees seek
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations and backgrounds
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple students simultaneously
  • Cultural awareness

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Experience

  • Background in US college admissions counseling
  • Experience working with international students applying to US universities
  • Familiarity with undergraduate scholarship and fellowship applications

Work Structure

Compensation Structure

Monthly Salary

  • Base Salary

    : ?8,00,000 - ?12,00,000 per annum (?65,000 - ?1,00,000 per month)
  • Experience-based scaling

Performance Bonuses

  • ?8,500 per Ivy League admission offer
