Job Description

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems. Your duties will include: Installation and Maintenance: - Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical products while understanding wiring, circuits, transformers, motors, and lighting systems. - Performing routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely. - Upgrading outdated or malfunctioning electrical systems to meet current standards and regulations. Troubleshooting and Repairs: - Diagnosing electrical issues using diagnostic tools, schematics, and blueprints. - Repairing or replacing defective components like switches, fuses, relays, and wiring. - Testing and verifying repairs to ensure functionality and safety. Compliance with Safety Standards: - Adhering to safety regulations and standards. - Performing risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implementing preventive measures. - Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring tools and equipment are safe for use. Technical Support: - Providing technical assistance to engineers, project managers, and other teams during installations and maintenance. - Assisting in training new technicians or apprentices. Documentation: - Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical drawings. - Maintaining records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections. - Preparing reports on system performance or malfunctions. Testing and Quality Assurance: - Conducting electrical testing to ensure systems are operating within specifications. - Verifying the proper functioning of safety devices like circuit breakers and grounding systems. - Ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols during installations or repairs. Emergency Support: - Responding to electrical emergencies or system failures promptly. - Providing immediate solutions to minimize downtime or risk. In addition to the above responsibilities, you should possess the following skills and knowledge: - Proficiency in using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power tools. - Strong understanding of electrical theory and principles. - Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems in industrial settings. - Ability to work with high and low voltage systems. - Basic computer skills. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule and in-person work location. The expected start date is 01/08/2025.,
