ITAM - SAM - Lead

As an ITAM Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance and optimal usage. Your role will involve maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software assets, ensuring license compliance, and managing renewals. You will also be expected to develop and enforce IT asset policies, standards, and procedures, as well as collaborate with procurement and finance teams for cost-effective IT asset investments. Your must-have technical competencies include a strong knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM), including Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM). You should have experience in software license compliance, audits, and customer handling, along with familiarity with the ITIL framework and IT service management best practices. Hands-on experience with ITAM tools such as Certero, ServiceNow, and Flexera is essential, as well as the ability to analyze IT asset data to optimize costs and improve utilization. In addition, it would be advantageous to have experience managing software assets as they relate to the ITAM lifecycle for an assigned portfolio of products/services and geographies, working towards consistent global coverage and responsibility. You should also aim to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and track usage against purchased licenses to prevent over- or under-usage. Continuous evaluation and improvement of SAM processes, along with the implementation of tools and technologies to automate workflows and enhance efficiency, are also desirable skills for this role.,
