IT Technical Architect

Allison Transmission is forming a Technical Operations Team (TOp Team) and seeking IT subject matter experts responsible for daily oversight of IT technologies and services. The TOp team ensures efficient global operations, maintaining highly available IT technologies. Individual strengths vary, collectively comprehending a wide spectrum of IT technologies. Technologies include data centers, network, server, clouds, telephony, security, databases, disaster recovery, user productivity, etc. globally. TOp team members collaborate for operational excellence, continual improvement, and IT departmental goals. Key contributors in strategy, planning, and project execution within the IT group. Allison seeks candidates with expertise in networking (Cisco), telecommunication technologies (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco WebEx SaaS Calling, Teams Calling), event collaboration, and conference room technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure adherence to policies, processes, IT security, and regulatory standards - Collaborate with solution support and project teams for timely business outcomes - Design, install, optimize IT services, upgrades, maintenance, and vendor-supplied patches - Establish and monitor IT performance metrics - Participate in IT strategy and planning - Ensure reliable operational procedures and tasks - Guide personnel in IT service operations - Coordinate with facilities for operational needs - Manage service providers" performance and SLAs - Facilitate cross-team collaboration for issue resolution - Lead continual improvement initiatives in designated areas Required: - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering - 7+ years managing IT technology and services Preferred: - 10+ years managing IT technology and services - 5+ years leading technical teams - ITIL v3/v4 certification Experience: - Ability to lead technical resource personnel - Technical expertise across multiple IT technologies - Decision-making and conflict management skills - Operations and infrastructure management experience - Establishing and leading collaborative virtual teams - Strong leadership, soft skills, teamwork, facilitation, negotiation - Consultative guidance in projects to staff, consultants, and partners - Comprehension of IT technologies spectrum,
