IT Support Engineer Regional

Job Summary

The Regional IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing Level 2 technical support across multiple branch locations. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading IT infrastructure, including network devices, systems, CCTV, and biometric solutions. The engineer will play a key role in ensuring seamless IT operations, minimal

downtime, and timely issue resolution for all assigned regions.

Role & responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide L2 support for incidents escalated by the Service Desk / NOC.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to:

1. Routers, switches, access points
2. Desktop systems, laptops, and printer.
3. Network performance and connectivity

Network & Systems Management

• Support configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of systems and network devices.
• Ensure strong adherence to network standards, policies, and security best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, WLAN & network security.

CCTV & Surveillance Systems

• Install new CCTV cameras and surveillance systems across various locations.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot existing CCTV infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure system reliability and performance.

Biometric & Access Control Systems

• Install and configure biometric attendance devices.
• Install and support biometric door lock systems.
• Ensure devices function efficiently and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform routine system inspections and health checks.
• Proactively identify potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, configurations, and system performance.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Requirements

• Engineering Degree / Diploma / ITI in Computer Hardware, Networking, or a related

field. (Preferred: Computer Hardware & Networking specialization)

Experience

• Min 2 years of hands-on experience in network operations, IT support, or related roles.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• TCP/IP, routing & switching
• Wireless networks (WLAN)
• Network security fundamentals
• Experience with:
• CCTV installation & maintenance
• Biometric devices and access control systems
• Ability to handle hardware troubleshooting and onsite support tasks.

Other Skills

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple locations within the region.
• Willingness to travel frequently to branch sites.
