Role Overview: As a Software Engineer in the Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG) Tech Crew at UBS in Pune, you will be responsible for developing and delivering robust and scalable global applications. Your role will involve technical implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of services. You will also be expected to contribute to best practices for code efficiency and collaborate with global tech and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop required web applications and services following sound development methods and tools - Implement technical solutions adhering to clean code principles - Test, deploy, maintain, and enhance services - Implement tools and best practices for release, environment, and configuration management - Contribute to best practices for creating elegant, efficient, and reusable code - Demonstrate creative, technical, and analytical skills regularly - Identify and collaborate with teams impacted by functional and non-functional requirements - Work with global tech and cross-functional teams towards global tech solutions Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of professional application development experience with server-side technologies including Core Java & Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and build tools like Maven/Gradle/Ivy - Strong understanding of Microservices and RESTful implementation - 1+ years of experience in Web UI development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React JS - Proficiency in writing efficient SQL and working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or Oracle - Experience with Hibernate/JPA, Transaction Management, and Stored Procedure implementation - Practical knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and SOLID principles - Familiarity with cloud native applications using containers - Experience with Git as a source code repository and operating in DevOps principles for task automation and CI/CD pipelines - Deep understanding of all aspects of application development (SDLC), design patterns, and support life cycle - Strong analytical skills, testing strategy, and issue troubleshooting capabilities - Familiarity with Junit for providing unit test case coverage About the Company: UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
