IT Network Engineer

Role Overview: As an IT Network Engineer at IPL, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and direction to vendor managed services to ensure effective architecture, execution, and operation of the network and telecommunications. Your expertise will be essential in supporting and securing business systems and processes. You will be at the forefront of Technology Engineering, confronting obstacles with creative and engineered solutions to deliver efficient and reliable IT services across IPL's global network. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure all network security assets, both internal and external (including cloud systems), comply with respective regulations and can pass regular IT audits. - Enable, monitor, and manage connectivity services and related security operations for on-premise and Cloud services, maintaining alignment with business-aligned reliability, integrity, and risk tolerances. - Champion an engineering mindset that drives continuous improvements through automation, self-service, CI/CD, and a fix-for-good approach. - Provide end-to-end expert guidance on managing Edge Device Connectivity, voice systems, and collaboration tools, influencing priorities and decisions across the IT infrastructure. - Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain software, operating systems, new products, and hardware for network and voice solutions. - Resolve 2nd & 3rd level incidents escalated from the IT Operations team in a timely manner, aligning with published SLA response times. - Responsible for operational management of network and carrier infrastructure providers, SIP management, call routing, system monitoring, alerting, configuration management, external integration with B2B and Cloud solution providers, and lifecycle hardware management. - Assist with and manage complex IT projects, including planning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure under the direction of project managers. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. - Certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, VMware, ITIL, or cyber certifications are a plus. - Minimum of 5 years" experience supporting WAN, LAN, Wireless, Telecom, Voice, and Video collaboration environments. - Working technical knowledge of current network and security hardware, software, protocols, and Internet standards. - Experience designing, implementing, and managing a secure enterprise connectivity strategy supporting hybrid Cloud services. - Advanced understanding of maintaining business continuity and high availability for IT services. - Experience performing complex technical analysis and performance tuning within data centers, remote sites, and Cloud providers.,
