Job Title: IT Manager Manufacturing, ERP & Digitalization

Location:

Position Overview

hands-on IT Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. ERP Management (Infor/M3)

  • Awareness & Knowledge to be able to maintain and optimize existing ERP (Infor/M3) system for

    Sales, Production & Scheduling, and Planning modules

    .
  • Liaise with ERP vendors and consultants for bug fixes, updates, and enhancements.
  • Ensure ERP workflows align with

    batch production, single-piece production, and project-based manufacturing

    .
  • Support users in generating operational and management reports.

2. IT Infrastructure & Networking

  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot

    LAN/WAN, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections

    .
  • Oversee hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, servers) installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Ensure robust

    data backup, recovery, and file/folder structure compliance

    .
  • Maintain IT security standards, anti-virus systems, and access control policies.

3. Factory Automation & PLC Coordination

  • Coordinate with CNC/PLC machine suppliers and programmers for installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure integration between production machines and ERP/MES systems.
  • Support implementation of

    digital dashboards, machine connectivity, and shopfloor visualization tools

    .

4. Compliance & Data Security

  • Ensure

    100% compliance

    with company IT policies, Swedish/EU data protection regulations, and Indian legal requirements.
  • Maintain records of

    data backup schedules, access logs, and audit trails

    .
  • Promote disciplined file naming, storage, and retrieval practices.

5. Vendor & AMC Management

  • Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for IT hardware, networking, software licenses, and factory automation systems.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technology investments.

6. Industry 4.0, Cloud & IoT Awareness

  • Stay updated on

    Industry 4.0 trends

    including smart manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and digital twins.
  • Evaluate opportunities for

    IoT-based production monitoring

    and

    cloud-based solutions

    for scalability and efficiency.
  • Work with global and local teams to pilot and implement relevant digital transformation projects.

7. Team Leadership & Support

  • Lead a small IT team (Manager + Assistant) with a

    hands-on approach

    .
  • Provide daily IT support for employees in hardware, software, and ERP usage.
  • Foster problem-solving culture and quick turnaround for IT issues.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across departments.

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • ERP: Infor/M3 (Sales, Production, Planning)
  • Networking, firewalls, VPN, and IT security basics
  • Data backup/recovery tools
  • Awareness of CNC/PLC systems and integration
  • Familiarity with

    Industry 4.0 concepts, cloud platforms, IoT integration

  • Windows Server & client OS administration

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work in

    matrix reporting

    structures
  • Good negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Relationship building and cross-cultural communication
  • Ability to train and mentor team members

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • 8-14 years

    of experience in IT roles, with at least 5 years in manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with ERP (Infor/M3 preferred) and manufacturing systems integration.
  • Exposure to

    digitalization, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and cloud-based manufacturing tools

    is highly desirable.
