Job Title:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Desktop Engineer with 5 years of experience to lead and support our organizations end-user computing environment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of complex technical issues, ensure seamless IT operations, and implement best practices to maintain high system availability across desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 desktop support to end users, resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals across multiple locations.
  • Manage user accounts, access rights, and system permissions in Active Directory/Office 365.
  • Perform proactive system maintenance, including patch management, antivirus updates, and scheduled backups.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated IT issues and provide guidance to junior support staff.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and warranty claims.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, system documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support remote users through VPN and remote access tools, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with IT team on system upgrades, migrations, and strategic IT projects.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in desktop support, IT infrastructure, or related roles.
  • Expertise in Windows OS, MS Office 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong experience with IT ticketing systems, remote support tools, and troubleshooting complex IT issues.
  • Knowledge of antivirus, backup solutions, and IT security best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with SCCM, Intune, or other enterprise deployment tools.
  • Proven experience managing IT operations across multi-location setups.
  • Ability to mentor junior IT staff and contribute to process improvements.
