IT Analyst

This position will be responsible for owning the IT-related software associated with at least one manufacturing process step in the Optical Fiber manufacturing plant. In this capacity, the IT Engineer will work closely with engineering and operations teams in the plant to implement improvements in this process area. The person will become the expert for the process controls system in their area of responsibility along with ancillary data feeds to a manufacturing execution system and reporting systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist a team of engineers to provide production support and troubleshooting for 24/7 manufacturing operations.


• Solve customer problems by analyzing situations to find common issues, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions.


• Document applications and solutions.


• Respond to customer requests.


• Participate in project teams and represent interests in area(s) of responsibility (e.g., screening, measurements, warehouse, commercial systems, etc.).


• Lead local IT projects.


• Arrange/conduct quality assurance testing on technology.


• Ensure that confidentiality and protection of information is built into applications and processes.


• Respond to customers and IT leaders questions about a process or technology.


• Create IT processes.


• Keep up with the latest technologies and suggest how to apply the technology in business.


• Serve on weekend production support team approximately every 5-6 weeks.

The ideal candidate must have:

3-5 years of related IT experience

Required Knowledge

Bachelor s degree in computer engineering, E & TC (Full-time from a reputed engineering college, no drops in education)

Multi-National Corporation experience
